2 Chainz Biography
Tauheed Epps, better known as his stage name 2 Chainz, is a well-known American rapper and hip hop artist. He is a Georgia native, and created the hip-hop group Playaz Circle with a friend from high school. Their first album, titled "Supply and Demand" was a modest success. Epps released the album 'Based On a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. Debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, it became a tremendous success. Within its first week of release, it sold 147,000 copies! Following the release of the album He hasn't looked back and has become one the best hip-hop artists in the US. He has been inducted for six Grammy awards and been awarded one for his hit track "No Problem". When he was discovered to be in possession of marijuana and promethazine, he was detained aboard a plane departing Los Angeles International Airport in 2013. However, his run-in with the law hasn't affected his popularity. His fourth and current album of studio work, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was came out in June of 2017. "Based on the T.R.U. Story', 2 Chainz's debut studio album could be considered to be his debut major album and his biggest success. It was a huge hit and climbed to the top of the US Billboard 200. The album also sold 147,000 copies within a few weeks. In the course of the course of the year, it sold 623,000 copies. The album featured smash singles like 'No Lie' and 'Birthday Song. I'm Different was also nominated for the 55th Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. Most reviews were negative. 2 Chainz married Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple have three children together: Heaven, Harmony, Halo. He is known for his bad behavior and his successful career. He's been detained multiple times for drug possession.
